考生在练习段对话的时候要注意一个核心的问题：短对话并非听到什么选什么，如果一个你看到的选项和听到的原文的内容及其相似的时候，很有可能这个选项偷换了主语或者改变了时态来干扰大家的选择。所以短对话重在理解后选出同义替换。短对话一般来说答案都是原文听到的关键句的同义替换，关键句题型各位考生注意短对话的第二句话。另外建议各位考生多留意短对话原文材料中出现的较难的名词、形容词、动词和副词外加动词短语，这些词和短语很有可能出现在最后一个部分——复合式听写当中。

考生在练习时应当将长对话和短文放在一起进行练习，因为这两个部分的考试所呈现出来的规律和技巧是几乎一致的。长对话和短文的篇幅和信息量都比较大，所以在考试的过程中呈现出试听一致的原则。也就是说考生在看到的选项和听到的原文的内容基本相同的这个选项一般来说是正确选项。所以在长对话和短文的解题过程中要求大家要一边看选项一边听录音。在看选项的时候考生们注意看选项中出现的动词、形容词和副词，如果在原文中你又听到了选项中出现的动词、形容词和副词的话该选项很有可能就是正确答案。很多考生疑惑为什么不能看名词，因为名词经常做主语，而主语经常容易被替换，故如果有考生对句子成分划分不清楚时，就给大家介绍更简单的方法，也就是留意选项中的动词、形容词和副词，在原文当中被读到这些词的选项才正确。

再次提醒考生在听长对话和短文的时候仔细听因果关系，出现因果关系联系词的那句，选项中有非常相近几乎一样的句子就选出来。除了因果关系外转折关系也是预示答案的关键词，一般转折关系出现后的下一句跟答案有关，听到这一句选项中又有一样的就可以选出来。最后还有在原文中反复听到多次的词在选项中也的话，该选项是正确答案的几率极高。

考生在练习复合式听写时注意把握好时间，一个单词如果一时想不起拼写可以先缩写辅音字母，先继续往下听，如果纠结于上一个词的拼写很容易错过下一个词。上个词可录音播放第二遍时再补全。

其次考生在听写单词时要注意名词的单复数，动词的时态以及首字母的大小写，这些都是往年四级考试对单词的考察点。新题型改革后每个单词由原来的0.5分变成了1分一个，如果会写单词但忽略了听到的单词的形式而丢分就很不值当了。

烈日炎炎，轰轰烈烈，6月15日，小千万中国大学生参加的四六级考试今日开始。

上午的四级考试，最大的亮点之一，就是写作。亮点在于其命题形式：图画作文。

图画的内容和构图不难：父亲和男孩子的对话，孩子说“ Dad，I am a bit worried about disposing ofnuclear weapon. (爸爸，我有点担心清除核武器这个问题)”，父亲则回答“ If you can empty the dustbin, you can doanything. (如果你能把垃圾桶倒掉，你就能坐好任何事情)” ，说话间，手指着垃圾桶。

这幅图画和6月的六级漫画作文非常相似，当时的图中，也是两人对话，女儿和父亲。父亲问女儿：“ Hi, sweetie, how was your school today ? (嘿，小甜心，你在今天在学校过得怎么样?)” 女儿非常冷漠的回答：“Dad,youcan read all about it on my blogs. (爹O，你自己可以在我的博客上读到所有内容)”，然后呢，女儿拔腿出门，留下父亲一脸惊愕。

说回这个四级的作文题。

作文的第一段，要进行简单描绘图画内容，这是必须的，也是题目中强制要求的(a brief description of the picture)。描述的时候，只要把父子两的对话移植到第一段，然后把父亲手指垃圾桶的动作描绘一下就可以了，非常简单。

作文的第二段，进行主旨提炼并且论述。这幅图画很容易看出主题，那就是做大事之前，要先做小事(一屋不扫，何以扫天下),而且题目中其实早就已经透露了主题了 (express your views on the importance ofdoing small things before undertaking something big.)因此，第二段通篇论述小事做起的重要性就可以了。属于我在课堂上讲过的作文三大分类之“积极主题，论述意义”

作文第三段，总结。这一段再次强调小事做起的意义，我们不能低估他的威力。文章最后可以以名人名言作为结尾。

We can see from the cartoon that there is a father talking with his son. Havingheard his son’s words that “ Dad, I am a bit worried about disposing of nuclearweapon.” The father replies that “ If you can empty the dustbin here, you cando anything” and points the garbage can beside him.

Funny and common as the conversation sounds, it reflects that the father intends to advise his son to do small things beforeundertaking big. Definitely, doing small things is the first step of success and will lay root for doing something big. By doing something small, we are able to accumulate experience, master skills and train ourselves to be more patient. In other words, we can be well prepared for further challenges in the course of fulfilling small things. By contrast, those who desire to do something big at once will constantly be haunted by disappointment, frustrations or even failures, as with opportunities-“something big”- showing up , they can hardly seize them because of the lack of experience and confidence stems from doing small things. Taking the picture presented above as a case in point, how can the little boy succeed in disposing of nuclear weapons if he even doesn’t know how to empty the dustbin?

From my perspective, under no circumstances should we undervalue the power of doing small things. Instead, we should regard small things as the source of experience, skills and the prerequisite of success. “Great achievement only belongs to those who can do small things perfectly.” Aristotle also used to say.

四级写作

写作是大学英语四级考试的必考项目。为了帮助大家应对六月的四级写作考试，北京新东方学校的石雷鹏老师从命题特点、评分方法、常考题型和高分突破四个方面出发，对四级写作进行立体化解析。

命题形式

写作是主观题，也是四级考试的第一道题。要求考生在答题卡Ⅰ上作答，所占分值为全卷的15%。

根据《大学英语四级考试大纲》(2006年修订版)，写作部分测试学生用英语进行书面表达的能力，要求在30分钟内完成一篇不低于120词的短文。

题目一般包含两个部分：英文指令和汉语提纲。英文指令的主要信息是体

裁要求和文章话题。汉语提纲一般为三点，有时为两点。通常，当提纲为两点时，建议考生自己补充为三点。

以2008年12月四级写作为例：

评分方法

四级写作采用总体评分法，阅卷人员就总体印象给出奖励分。评分标准共计五个档次：2分、5分、8

分、11分和14分。其中14分档次作文的要求是：切题，表达思想清楚，文字通顺、连贯，基本无语言错误，仅有个别小错。

而对文章的评判主要从内容和语言两个方面进行。考生想在写作部分取得理想分数，则需从三方

面入手：内容切题、结构清晰和语言精彩。三方面中，内容切题是基本要求，结构清晰体现为有层次的段落。在满足前两个条件的基础上，语言质量决定写作成绩的高低。

语言精彩主要表现在三个方面：遣词、造句、连贯。

遣词：要注重用词的多变和亮点词汇的使用，如：important可以替换为 indispensable；more and more people可以替换为an increasing number of people；I think that 可以替换为I am convinced that。

造句：句子结构切勿单一不变，要富有变化，要注意长短句结合，并适当运用定语从句、名词性从句、强调句式、同位语等。

连贯：主要体现为过渡词的准确使用。如：to begin with，moreover，furthermore，however，so，first，second 等词语的运用使逻辑思路清晰可见。

常考题型及写作思路

四级写作常考的话题主要为两类：校园类和社会类。校园话题含绿色校园、选修课、社团活动等；社会话题为博物馆、环境、娱乐活动等。

四级写作体裁主要有三种：论说文、应用文及图表作文。1990年至2010年42次四级写作中三种体裁的分布如下：

由此可见，四级写作考查重点是论说文。

1. 论说文

论说文有三种：问题解决型、观点对比型和现象描述型。其中问题解决型是近年来考查次数最多的。

(1)观点对比型

该类作文是2011年重点备考类型，因为从2008年12月至2010年12月连续五次均考“问题解决型”作文，改换类型几率较高。

但要注意的是，现在的“观点对比

型”作文在命题思路上和2000年以前的题目已经有所不同。

传统观点对比型：正方观点 +反方观点+我的看法；

现在的观点对比型：现象描述+观点(利弊)分析+我的看法。所以，切勿把以前的写作模板套用在新的考试中。

下面，以2008年6月份真题为例介绍该类作文的破题思路:

首段：描述现象+ 观点阐述(利)+原因

Furthermore, some feel that by not participating in such activities, people deprive themselves of the chance to release their work and study pressures. Moreover, recreational activities are a great way to socialize and make new friends.

第二段：观点阐述(弊) +原因

Beneficial as these activities may be, others take the opposite view. First, they argue that taking part in recreational activities demands a great deal of time, money and energy; therefore, people’s work may be adversely affected. In addition, many teachers and parents are concerned that some games (gambling or computer games) may negatively affect teenagers’ studies.

(2)问题解决型

问题解决型作文是近年重点，也是2011年6月四级备考次重点。其写作思路一般可以总结为：现象(问题)描述+原因(危害)分析+建议措施(我的看法)。

应用文和图表作文的写作虽然不是近年四级考试的考查重点，但它们也是考试大纲和教学大纲中规定的考查内容，所以也不能忽视。

常见的应用文写作包括书信、通知、海报、交通事故见证书、演讲词。

复习的重点在于掌握其格式，特别是开头和结尾的惯用表达方式。若应用文给出提纲，则只需在

满足格式要求的前提下，按照提纲要求进行写作即可。

值得一提的是，复习四级考试的应用文，对于现行的研究生入学英语考试写作部分的小作文很有帮助。

图表作文是近年来四级写作中出现频率最低的一类作文，最近一次考查是在2002年6月。

建议大家在考前复习首段描述图表的写法，因为其他段落的写法与论说文无异。

高分突破

考前备考环节有一个科学的方法至关重要，建议大家复习写作时可从以下几个方面着手：

1.翻译范文。将范文先翻译成中

文，再将所译中文翻译回英文，再对比范文找出差距，揣摩范文的表达。

2.模拟练习。在30分钟内完成作

文，之后自己修改找出错误或不足，再对比范文或请老师修改找出不足。

3.考前重点积累常用词汇及表
